Kung Fu

Traditional Shaolin Kung Fu is being taught at the Shi De Feng Kung Fu Institute. Shaolin Kung Fu originated and was developed in the Buddhist Shaolin temple in Henan province, China. Over more than 1600 years the knowledge of Shaolin Kung Fu was handed by the adept master to his master student and sole heir respectively.

In its original meaning, Kung Fu or Gong Fu can refer to any skill achieved through "hard work" and refers usually to Chinese martial arts. The oldest evidence of Shaolin martial arts is attributed to the Indian monk Bodhidharma (Puti Damo) back in 523 A.D. After arriving at the Shaolin Monastery he introduced Chan Buddhism and developed exercises, that were designed to improve the health and the physical strength of the monks. Based on these basic exercises the legendary Shaolin Kung Fu developed. The Masters of Shaolin Kung Fu instruct not only fighting techniques but also compassion in order to obtain peace of mind. Practicing Kung Fu is a unique way to achieve physical strength and peace of mind as well.
